Improve your photography in Florence with award-winning expert Joan Ransley on our exclusive three-day programme, including photography workshops, practical sessions and personalised feedback!
Tuesday 23rd October 2018
We meet up in the centre of Florence this morning for an introductory session to explore the basics of photography, led by Joan Ransley. There will be time for questions and an overview of the days ahead before we adjourn for lunch at a nearby trattoria. This afternoon, we will walk around central Florence, taking photos as we go, looking in particular at the best way to photograph monuments and large buildings. Later, we will return to our meeting space for a photo review session, to show our best photos and comment on each others’ work.
Wednesday 24th October
This morning's workshop session will be dedicated to still-life and food photography. Learn the principles behind this art and science, and there will be several sets available for you to photograph as you learn.
This afternoon, we take to the streets for a street photography assignment. We will meet up again at the end of the afternoon to review everyone's shots.
Thursday 25th October
We leave Florence for a day in the country. The emphasis today is on landscape photography, and there will be a delicious lunch and wine-tasting at a local agriturismo. Returning to Florence, we will visit a couple of beautiful gardens, to explore the challenges of capturing plants and flowers at their best.
Our final session in the meeting room will go over today's photos and there will be one-to-one comments for each participant.
